India is home to over 19,500 spoken languages, many of which are on the verge of extinction. SCT is dedicated to protecting this linguistic diversity through its Indigenous Language Preservation Program, which documents, promotes, and revitalizes endangered languages.
We work closely with the Scheme for Protection and Preservation of Endangered Languages (SPPEL) and Living Tongues Institute, both of which are at the forefront of linguistic conservation. SPPEL identifies and records data about critically endangered languages across India, while Living Tongues Institute develops Living Dictionaries—interactive, multimedia tools that help young speakers and researchers engage with their heritage.
SCT also organizes language workshops, storytelling sessions, and documentation drives in tribal and remote regions to revive linguistic pride and intergenerational transmission of native languages.
Our concept is "What we can give to the world is the most important than what we have received from the world." As I came from a middle-class family, I witness that there are some poor children, old aged people, illiterate girls, widows and under poverty line, who really stand in need of liberation from the clutches of Poverty, illiteracy and in equality. I came from a rural background and was the victim of these vulnerable and pathetic situation of poverty in my childhood. Basing on my own struggled for existence I experience the depth of poverty in the society. My ambition is to render service to the unreached people those who are living under poverty line. So, I started my journey with SURYA CHARITABLE TRUST to serve the people those who are in need.
As we welcome you, the future leaders and productive citizens of the world, I would like to stress on our mission statement of grooming young minds and hearts as the pillar of advancement of a nation and hope of the future.
I am a simple man with very humble beginnings. As a family, we have always led a life of struggle, till each of us could stand on our own feet and fend for ourselves. Being well educated, we are fortunate that our journey has reached a point where we need not struggle for basic necessities anymore. But not everyone is so fortunate.
