Surya Charitable Trust (SCT) understands that mental health is just as important as physical well-being. In a society where conversations around mental health are still stigmatized, SCT takes proactive steps to foster understanding, compassion, and access to emotional wellness. We offer confidential counseling services, organize community-based mental health awareness campaigns, and facilitate peer support groups to create safe spaces for individuals to express themselves and seek help.
We collaborate with leading organizations like The Live Love Laugh Foundation, founded by Deepika Padukone, which focuses on destigmatizing mental health issues through mass awareness, research, and grassroots interventions. Their campaigns reach millions, normalizing discussions around stress, depression, and anxiety.
Another key partner is Sangath, a renowned public health research NGO working across the life course—from early childhood development to youth depression, substance use, and self-harm prevention. Together with these organizations, SCT brings mental wellness to the forefront of community health, empowering people with tools to cope, heal, and thrive.
Our concept is "What we can give to the world is the most important than what we have received from the world." As I came from a middle-class family, I witness that there are some poor children, old aged people, illiterate girls, widows and under poverty line, who really stand in need of liberation from the clutches of Poverty, illiteracy and in equality. I came from a rural background and was the victim of these vulnerable and pathetic situation of poverty in my childhood. Basing on my own struggled for existence I experience the depth of poverty in the society. My ambition is to render service to the unreached people those who are living under poverty line. So, I started my journey with SURYA CHARITABLE TRUST to serve the people those who are in need.
As we welcome you, the future leaders and productive citizens of the world, I would like to stress on our mission statement of grooming young minds and hearts as the pillar of advancement of a nation and hope of the future.
I am a simple man with very humble beginnings. As a family, we have always led a life of struggle, till each of us could stand on our own feet and fend for ourselves. Being well educated, we are fortunate that our journey has reached a point where we need not struggle for basic necessities anymore. But not everyone is so fortunate.
